When most major artist release a album, single or perform. they always have promotions all the up to the event or release. Remember you want everyone talking about you. So you should have the internet going crazy blasting out your name. Most indie artist drop a single & don't invest in any promotions. Doing shows every week will not help you sale records or streams. Most indie artist just love to perform. But if youre serious you should be more focus on making money & living your dreams. Artists blows up everyday & its not because of open Mics it's because they listen & invest in promotions.
